Cranberry Apple Waldorf Salad
Course Salad
Cuisine American
- 2 medium apples, cored and diced
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 2 celery stalks, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Place the diced apples, dried cranberries, sliced celery, and chopped walnuts in a large mixing bowl.
Stir the mayonnaise, lemon juice, and salt together in a small bowl until the mixture is smooth.
Pour the dressing over the ingredients in the large bowl.
Toss everything gently until the fruit, celery, and nuts are evenly coated.
Mix the salad a few hours ahead so the cranberries soften slightly and the flavors blend. If the apples start to brown during prep, toss them with the lemon juice right away. Leftovers keep in the fridge for a day in a covered container.
