Baking Sheet
Oven
Parchment Paper
- 12 Medjool dates, pitted
- 4 ounces blue cheese, crumbled
- 6 ounces prosciutto, thinly sliced into 12 pieces
Heat the oven to 375 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Open each date and fill the center with about a teaspoon of blue cheese.
Wrap one slice of prosciutto around each stuffed date, then place the wrapped dates seam side down on the baking sheet.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the prosciutto firms and turns lightly golden.
Remove from the oven and let the dates rest for a few minutes before serving.
Serve these warm or at room temperature on a platter with toothpicks for easy pickup. If you want to make them ahead, assemble everything up to the baking step and keep them covered in the fridge for up to a day, then bake right before guests arrive. Use a creamy blue cheese that holds together when stuffed rather than a very dry one.
